If you think Elastica have robbed Blondie riffs then you've never heard
of Wire or the Stranglers!!Elastica are well renowned for robbing riffs,I
know for a fact that they had to pay Stranglers royalties for using the
riff from 'No more heroes'. I think the song in question was 'Waking up'.
Sarah Brightman has a good voice but generally in the UK she is regarded as
a joke. A lot of her material has been terrible, 'I lost my heart to a
starship trooper' springs to mind. Ultimately you can have the voice of an
angel but if the material in general is crap, you won't get the respect.
There have been many female singers over the years who have had good voices
like Kate, but they have fallen by the wayside after a short while. In this
category I would list Beverly Craven, Sarah Brightman,Carol Decker(T'Pau),
Alannah Myles and others.
