Ellen van Neck asks about the claim that music from the song "The Sensual World" was stolen from earlier sources. Certainly some of the instrumental music was borrowed or adopted from a Macedonian folk theme, though Kate made full public disclosure of the fact in a KBC Newsletter, as IED recalls, and mentioned the Macedonian influence in numerous interviews at the time. Her use of the music (like her use of the chorus in "Hello Earth"), however, is typically novel and original. -- Andrew Marvick (IED) S R I
