            SURVEY: next generation music format on DVD
           =============================================

 DVD(Digital Versatile Disc, former known as Digital Video Disc) is a 
new storage medium that will be on sale from the end of 1996. First it 
will be used for movies and data-storage. Prototypes of this have been 
demonstrated on various exhibitions around the world. The improved band-
width and storage capacity will also later be used for high quality 
music storage. This will finally replace todays CD.

 The format for Music-DVD will be fixed this spring, probably by March. 
This survey will give feedback to those working with the format on how 
_you_ would like it to be. The survey has just 14 questions that you
