Wuthering Heights was a novel written by Emily Bronte, who died shortly
after its publication.  The novel caused a great deal of controversy
because of the intense passion between Catherine and Heathcliff, the two
main characters in the novel (well, at least Catherine is in the first
half of the novel).  I highly recommend that you read the book as it is a
true classic and will give you a great deal of insight into the lyrics to
Kate Bush's fantastic song.  I'd tell you what happens to them, but I
don't want to spoil the ending for anyone who's thinking about reading
the novel :).
