I am happy to see so much discussion on the vital topic of artists and their art. Especially when our beloved goddess is the subject! While politicos of all stripes (mainly one) are rapidly pillaging and plundering the coffers that once fed our vibrant artistic freedoms, there are some talents who find a way to continue creating their work. I applaud The Lady on her efforts, as always, but may I raise a ticklish point (when do I NOT?): Since Fruitopia is the first endorsement she has made in more than fifteen years, what caused her to do it? I hope it wasn't the money, which must have been considerable. And come on, hounds, the drink itself is nothing special, especially coming from the world-savaging Coca Cola company. Pardon me for being politically incorrect (ee-gads), but what would drive The Lady into the clutches of such a corporate fiend??? Perhaps we'll never know .... By the by, for all those who have mentioned the "budget factor" in the production of TLTCTC, please fill me in. I have read NOTHING about the making of this music video. Where do you get your info?? You'd think that any entity - corporate or otherwise - would drop everything to work with Kate. What gives? You make it sound like she had to break open her cookie jar!! :-) + + KK + +
