Grammy? Yeah, right...

Someone recently asked why Kate never won a grammy.
Several people correctly pointed out it was because
Kate has talent. Let me clarify this a bit more:

We're talking about an organization which gave
Milli Vanilli the "best new artist" award, which
gave Jethro Tull "Best Heavy Metal artist" award,
and 1982, the year of "The Dreaming" gave "Best Record"
and "Best Album" award to Toto. TOTO?!?!

Personally, I'd be INSULTED if I were a musician nominated
for a Grammy.

And now for something completely different:

Last weekend I conducted a blind taste test with a couple
of Gen-Xer sons of a friend of mine (ages 16 and 13) of
various raspberry-flavored ice teas.

Here's the result:

Snapple: A bit overflavored, a bit too sweet, but overall
best of the lot. The 13-year-old said it was "Ok!"

Fruitopia: Way too sweet (Oh, THERE'S a surprise!)
the 13-year-old thought the raspberry taste was most
"realistic" of any of the ones they tried.

Arizona - "Ewww, yucky!" the 16-year-old said it "tastes
like fish shit". Which is ironic, because Consumer Reports,
in THEIR blind taste test, voted Arizona the BEST raspberry
ice tea.

Lipton - Way, WAY to sweet. "It tastes like butterscotch."
