Hi! Happy Solstice, everyone! Here are some quick replies to what I found in the Digest today: 1.) Keith -- you were reading the American version of Vogue, right? That's your answer right there. If it we a European or Australian or (insert your favorite country that's not the US here) magazine, surely Kate would have been mentioned at least in passing. 2.) Photos: NONONONONONONO do *****NOT***** post photos to the newsgroup! There are lots of them out there, though -- alas I can't give you precise URLs or other forms of location... check the FAQ. 3.) It's only a coincidence that Dar Williams called a song "When I Was A Boy", which is also the title of Jane Siberry's (until August 15) most recent album. Dar's song is brilliant, btw, and starts off a very wonderful album. I recommend her to all -- especially if she's playing live in your area. Go. 4.) Mitch -- oh, are there ever lyrics! Here's the one that most readily springs to mind (though there are several): The thought of you sends me shivery I'm dressed in lace sailing down a black reverie My heart is thrown to the pebbles and the boatmen And all the time I find that I'm living in the evening With that feeling of sticky love inside "L'amour Looks Something Like You" There are several lyrics servers out there that can point you to complete lyrics of all of Kate's songs -- again, sorry I don't have exact locations, but I know they're out there... 5.) Looks like that Georgian group ripped off the same sountrack bit from _Nosferatu_ as Kate did for "Hello Earth", eh? ;> Shuffling back into lurkerdom... +==========================================================================+ |Meredith Tarr meth@delphi.com| |Boonton, NJ USA finger info at: mtarr@eagle.wesleyan.edu| +==========================================================================+ | "if the truth isn't funny, what good is it? does reality have a duty to | | amuse us? did *anyone* else ever play Paranoia?" - veronica | +==========================================================================+ GO DEVILS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
