Responding to both public posts and private email at once....

Oh, ouch!

He called me politically correct. That really hurts! Nobody's ever called
me politically correct before. I'm usually so politically incorrect. I'm
ashamed. No, I'm not making fun of KateManiac. I'm making fun of myself.

Far be it from me to quash a devoted fan's enthusiasm. But remember, not
only does Kate have passion, she has kindness. I have never heard her say
a bad word about anyone. "Everyone of us has a heaven inside." Even Tori
Amos.

You accused me of being a passionless Brit. I find that encouraging; Kate
once said she likes a proper english gentleman, and Kate herself is a very
proper english lady. Anyway, I'm not British, I'm jes' a good ole 'merican
boy livin' on a farm in Ohio. Hoo-eee!

Fanaticism can be good, it needs to be judged by its fruits. When it
produces sweet fruit, then it is good, but when the fruit of fanaticism
is bitter, it harms itself, because nobody wants to partake of the
bitter fruit and thus spread its seeds.

May I never fall victim to political correctness. I may disagree with
what you say and how you say it, but I will defend your right to say it.
Just don't be surprised that when you spout such erudite comments as
"TORI SUCKS!" you find people objecting to your manner of presentation.

Take care, and don't stop being a KateManiac.
