Tori Amos

As Kate fans have been so supportive of Tori Amos, and I am _completely_
ignorant of her music, please tell me what about Tori appeals to you so.
What sort of parallels/similarities would you draw; what differences? Do
you recommend her to all Kate fans?  Or only those who are particularly drawn
to an era or album? I'm just curious and always on the watch for new, soon
to be loved music.
