Subject: I HATE prerecorded cassettes!!!
To: Love-Hounds@uunet.uu.net
Kate KonTent verification statement: Kate Bush music has been released on prerecorded cassette. ========================================================= You know, I really hate prerecorded cassettes! The damn tape is thin and cheap, it easily (and ALWAYS) unravels from around the spool from just sitting there (if not in the case), causing folds and bumps in the tape transport, which is the precursor to your tape eventually being "eaten" by your player. And, of course, this medium is the largest selling medium in the United States; I can't speak for the rest of the world. But the record companies must LOVE the format. They sell it cheaper than the CD, but probably make more money per unit since the hardware itself probably isn't worth more than 1/3 the retail cost of the cassette. Not to mention the dust problems. I usually always buy the CD and make my own damn tapes using good Type IV metal particle. Sheesh. Why am I flaming about tapes? My **(&%^*&$% deck just ATE my (*&%*&^%_( German _Hounds of Love_ tape, you know the one that *really* has the 12" extended version of RUTH on it? GRRRRRRRRRRRR!!! Well, it didn't actually snap the tape, but now I have to be very careful. What a crock! Have a good day, Larry (who will feel better later on when he, too, professes his passion for the great Kirsty MacColl. No Connie, you're not the only one!)
