Hi Richard!

I believe Lily is either a close family friend or an aunt....i'm not
sure....
...I don't think it's her mom though.....can anybody elaborate?

TL, TC & TC stands for: The Line, The Cross and The Curve...
/+)...if you prefer.  These are the 3 symbols that Kate needs to return
home
in her movie of the same name. It's also mentioned in the song The Red
Shoes.

The line stands for a "path"
The cross stands for a "heart"
The curve stands for a "smile"

I'm not quite sure what to call the place that she's trying to leave...
    ...is it hell?...another dimension...Atlantis perhaps ;-)
