Did you see Kate's costume for that song in the Hammersmith-Odeon show 
before coming up with this conclusion?  if not, then you must have
hit the nail on the head!  She was wearing a pilot's outfit with
cracked goggles.  Even if it was the costume that sparked your idea,
it still makes a lot of sense.  I always thought it was just a
collection of sentiments.  I'll have to listen to that song again NOW!
