OK, so this is pretty well completely non-Kate material, but...

Vanceman, where did you hear that the Pretenders' KID was about a
prostitute? I recall (relatively :) ) clearly an interview with Chrissie
Hynde where she talked about how it was about trying to communicate with
a 12 or 13 year old, you know, the age at which you get all sulky cos of
those rampaging hormones.

ObKate: um...well...Kate was probably listening to the first Pretenders
album because it was out around the time when she was touring and she
needed something to pass the time on the bus :)
