To show this, I'll give a slightly but maybe not too different example: assume a company A writes a PC game and convinces another company B to use this for advertising. Now of course company B would love millions of users to copy this game. But company A, unless they sold B the rights to make as many copies as they want, loses the sales. You shouldn't forget that - depending on the actual case - a company has to *buy* its advertising material as well. Nevertheless I'd love to have the commercials...
