Howdy, all! Another lurker descends upon the group!

The top five Kate stuff question was quite a few posts ago, but I want
to answer it anyway! I can't really rate the Kate albums; I've never
heard Lionheart and I'd have a tough time finding an order for the rest!
However, my top five Kate songs follow:

1. Running Up that Hill: The first Kate song I ever heard, and still my
favorite! I am especially fond of the video, the imagery of which has
always fascinated me.

2. Wuthering Heights (new vocal): The original is quite good as well,
but I like it much better without the old chirpy vocals. The newer vocal
track lends this song a welcome maturity and even a certain passion!

3. The Sensual World: An absolutely gorgeous song! Dreamily atmospheric,
and laden with a sense of lush romanticism. All love should be like this!

4. This Woman's Work: Simple and starkly emotional. I love the way it
builds and builds, to suddenly drop off for the final notes.

5. You're the One: A great mix of styles in this one! It sets up a
marvelous juxtraposition between the bluesy guitar and hammond organ and
the exotic Trio Bulgarka's warbling vocals. Tying it all together is Kate's
voice, which expresses the emotions of the song with singular skill.

Well, there's my contribution. Thanks for the indulgence, everyone!
