While "Foucault's Pendulum" is an amazing book and the most fabulous ride 
through KT conspiracy theories ever, it must be stressed that Eco has artfully 
rewritten the KT history in an entirely fictional manner. So clever is he that 
he can twist your knowledge of them because his connexions are so interesting!

For a more controversial look at the subject, try "Holy Blood, Holy Grail" by 
Michael Baigen et al.
