I still don't see what the big deal is about this song! It's good, but
hardly great and feels more than a little contrived (all IMHO -- no
offense)

>2 Under The Ivey

Ahhhh.....

>3 Un Baiser D'enfant

I've never bothered to separate this from The Infant Kiss, for obvious reasons,
it _is_ lovely.

>4 The Empty Bullring

Fun, but...

>5 Burning Bridge

This one is still growing on me. Initially, I _hated_ this song. The vocals
are wobbly and all over the place, the backing vox too, well, I don't know
"boopie" (I can't quite put a finger on why they bug me...), and the whole song
just feels half baked. I've often said that KB sounds like she drank a bottle
of bourbon before she did this one. Those are the reasons I hated it at first,
and they are all (ironically) the reasons I have grown to like it more and more.

----

Here's my non-album list:

1. Under the Ivy

Well, reasons for this are obvious...

2. The Handsome Cabin Boy

Gorgeous vocals (especially the haunting, bagpipe-inspired backing vox)

3. Ne T'en Fui Pas

Just has a nice exotic flavor to it.

4. My Lagan Love

The whole reason I love KB -- that voice, pure and simple with nothing else in
the way.

5. Be Kind To My Mistakes -- Edit

I _still_ haven't heard the full length, "original" version -- if anyone knows
where I can get a copy of the original, please drop me an Email....

I simply _refuse_ to get into a "five favorite album cuts" discussion, becasue
there really is _no_ way I can do that -- I have to side with Drewcifer here,
because whereas I can rate Kate _albums_ based on how well I think they work as
a whole, individual song preferences are entirely to subjective depending
on mood, state-of-mind, time of day, weather, what have you!
