Subject: Kate Bush Live CD
To: Love-Hounds@eddie.mit.edu
I thought somebody might be interested in the following: I bought the Video and CD double pack of Live At Hammersmith today. I put the CD in my player, and was surprised to see the total playing time was 75mins, not the 53mins that would match the video. Also, there were 16 tracks instead of 12. I thought that maybe there were extra tracks on the CD, and they'd just copied the track listing from the video for the CD sleeve instead. Confusion was increased when I actually listened to it. At first, I thought it was a very long introduction to 'Moving', as it starts quietly and builds up, but after about a minute and a half of this strange sub-Jean-Michel Jarre stuff, I thought something was definitely up. Flipping through the rest of the tracks was much the same story, all ambient synthesizer, ethnic chanting and no Kate. So they've put the wrong CD in the pack. The label's right but the disc isn't. Has anyone else found a problem with this release, or is it just me? (And if it is just me, I'm open to offers for this unique piece of Kate-related memorabilia.) Jim Lynn (jim@cconcepts.co.uk)
