OK, just some info for you beleagered KaTefans on the
wrong side of the Atlantic:

Portobello Market is on Portobello Road - nearest
underground station Ladbrook Grove, 4 stops on the
Central Line from Tottenham Court Road.  You can
easily walk down to the Konvention from there (London 
is only tiny really).

The Hippodrome is (now) a huge, flashy nightclub just
off Leicester Square which I normally wouldn't be caught
dead in 'cos it's full of men with too much cologne and
women in white stilettos dancing round their handbags ... 
but a 'Kate-inspired disco' is another matter !
