First of all, a late Happy New Year to all, and a small acknowledgement. I'd like to thank those of you who pointed out my error in referring to Mae Moore's "Bohemia" as her first album - I was obviously mistaken. This reminds me of how often the same thing has happened when people talk about Tori Amos - how many people out there know very much about HER first album (if they can find it). Anyway, just goes to show that you can't be too careful on gaffa... So now to the real porpoise of this note. I didn't see it posted anywhere else here today, so I'll deliver it as I read it: BUSH GIVES MUSEUM FAMOUS RED SHOES Toronto - British singer Kate Bush, on tour promoting her album RED SHOES, has donated the red shoes pictured on the album cover to the Bata Shoe Museum. The Toronto museum boasts 9000 items, including ancient sandals, shoes, stockings - and anthropologist Mary Leakey's plaster cast of what is considered the oldest human footprint. (From the Ottawa Citizen, Saturday January 8, 1994.) Personally, I think this is terrific news, especially for all of those people out there who are Kate Bush fans AND foot-fetishists! Glad I could report something that was undeniably true (I read it in the newspaper, after all). Bye for now. David J. Zimmerly --
