A gaffa is what you just committed when you asked "* What *is* gaffa?"
without first consulting the precious FAQ which you will come to learn is
a great source of contention and irritation.

of course, I'm only kidding, but Kate claims that it is a perversion of
gaffer's tape, however, you will find as you continue to participate in
this group that Kate rarely has the correct interpretation or explanation.
Gaffans worship Kate without actually believing her. Take what she says
with a pinch of salt, if you will.

I'll extend a welcome, but I'm still a semi-newbie, having only just
received my three month pin in the mail, and so my welcome may not count.
