Last theory is probably true, and is a sensible reaction to the price of singles records (although albums are pretty 'spensive as well). When you think about it, there is very little "bang-for-the-buck" (or the quid) left in singles compared to albums. The last single I bought was "Hip to be Square" in 1986 (because I don't really like Huey Lewis and I didn't want to buy a whole album; but I had to learn the song for a band I was in, and I don't believe in ripping off artists, i.e. by breaking copyright). With KT (and others) on the other hand, I've noticed that there are *always* better songs on the albums, regardless of how good the singles may be (personal preference -- I guess I'm not record producer material), so I will always wait and buy the album. In case you think I'm being disloyal to my idols by doing this, just remember there are album charts as well as singles charts. -- Ottis
