Andrew B. Marvick (IED) writes: | IED is compelled to point out that Kate's new music -- all of it -- is | fascinating and blindingly brilliant. All of the negative criticism that | IED has read in this forum of late is laughably ignorant and careless; all of | the positive comments are intelligent and cogently argued, and amply | demonstrate their authors' unfailing musical acuity. These, of | course, are not opinions, but self-evident faKTs. I'm surprised that Jon Drukman was the only one to follow up on this, since it's been a long time since IED has set us all straight. This was very welcome, Andrew, thanks. I enjoyed your unmasking of the truth behind the Times interview as well. **** In other news: Locally, KITS 105.3 FM ("Live 105") has been playing Eat The Music every day since it came out. I've even heard it more than once a day. The DJs seem to like it as well. With all the criticism, one point that hasn't been mentioned about this song is how catchy it is. After I hear it, it stays in my mind for hours. If you didn't like it, I suppose this could be a problem... Are other US stations playing this song at all? Has Rubberband Girl been played on the air by anyone other than Jill Burkart??? -- E. Stephen
