Well, it was here and gone! We had several people. Me, Ray Russell, Jackie and Adam, and Patrick M. The highlight was listening to a few new Kate songs plus watching "Moments of Pleasure" and Rocket Man and Wogan Rocket Man (which were new to most of us). It was great to share in seeing/hearing Kate stuff for the first time in a group situation. Then we had a Kate Kake and watched (barely) The Red Shoes and an annimated version. It wasn't very compelling on first watch, so I have a feeling it's something that requires some study. My immeadiate impression is that it may have drawn Kate due to the conflict in the film of having artistic aspirations VS the reality of trying to bring those out in the cold world, though we really didn't watch closely enough to say. We're hoping to have either a party a few weeks AFTER the album OR a "First listen" party on the night that it comes out so that we can share listining together, which, again, was a very nice experience. So Happy Katemas everyone and thanks to all that were involved with the video for getting it to us! I hope someday we'll see a single video with all the "Very best" of Kate Bush performances, simuluar to the tape that distributed but also with Saturday Night Live, the "Mrs' . Mopp" and Babooshka, Under The Ivy, Wogan Experiment IV, and a few others, all in the very best quality! :-) Anyways! Happy Katemas Kate and everyone else! --- rhill@netrun.uu.nix.com (ronald hill) NetRunner's Paradise BBS, San Diego CA
