Hi all KaTe fAns,
Obv KaTe stuff to follow below.

I agree with Vickie about Dolly's song writing ability. _Jolene_ is great.
Obviously Whitney Houston thinks _I Will Aways Love You_ is great! I also
like _Nine to Five_ for its social commentary (YES!) and _Here You Come
Again_ remade soft and slow by someone like Suzanne Vega or Sinead O.
would be earth shattering.

I admire and respect her. I grew up in the south (Alabama) and my dad would
always have some TV country music show on. I saw Dolly when she was with
Porter Wagoner and the Wagoneers (sp). She got by that, has built her own
recording, movie and business career and has employed her huge family (an
Appalachian hill family with all of its extended branches) in Dollywood
near Gattlinburg (Pidgeon Forge Tennessee).

And to do this huge business being criticized for looking so "southern
female" in a time when (Believe me on this!) women in the south "wern't
'allowed' to do much of nothin". (oops some southern dialect popped out)

so yes, Dolly and KaTe could be an very interesting collaboration.

Obligitory KaTe mention --did Prince really record with KaTe?
