   One reason for the difference? Kate has stated in several interviews
that she never really learned how to read music, and she teaches guest
musicians their parts by playing them. Tori, on the other hand had a 
conservatory education (she was thrown out for playing from memory.)

  It's likely that Tori either created, or closely supervised the
transcriptions.
