Hmmm. It's undoubtedly the most popular albums that bring Kate to the attention of many people. They then cause many people who never really knew Kate to like Kate a lot, and go and buy all her other albums and become a real Katefan. That is, in fact, what happened to me. (sort of). A friend of mine had just been given 'The Whole Story', and I listened to it and recalled a song that I had heard of before, namely 'Babooshka'. I remember as a young kid, seeing the Babooshka video. It is a _very_ memorable video, well it must be since I remembered it after about five or six years (or however long it was). hearing this song again intrigued me, so I listened to the rest of the album and came to love it. Eventually this friend had bought all of her albums, and I taped them ('cos at the time I couldn't afford to buy them), but now I have the beautiful box of this woman's work, and I'm happy. Favourite album ...? I dunno. It depends very much on how I feel at the time.
