Re: Wanted: review of new Bel Canto

I can't do a proper review (no time) but I'll say that I love it.
I think it's a perfect companion to their other two albums. The
style is not radically different, but they've matured wonderfully.
The album title (Shimmering, Warm and Bright) is *perfect*.

There's a couple of songs I haven't gotten into yet, but I probably
will. It threatens to become my favorite Bel Canto album.

If you like the other two, you'll probably like this one.


Speaking of fairly newly released albums, anyone who likes Sheila
Chandra at all should get her new one, _Weaving My Ancestor's Voices_.
It's (IMHO) her very best album yet. There are only 2, *very* short,
"tikka takka (rikki tikki tavi)" songs on it. There are *NO* Indi-"pop"
songs (Praise the Lord!!) and it will, maybe, very possibly, leave you
breathless in it's beautiful wake. 

In short, it's a *wonderful* album!
