Cheryl Rohrer rather badly misinterprets: >>In article <0096104B.B3AC3F00.11567@kosmos.wcc.govt.nz>, >>hobbs_a@kosmos.wcc.govt.nz writes... >>A friend lent me a tape copy of their eponymous album. It's >>bloody excellent. Someone tell me all about them, *please* >I believe that eponymous was an early 'greastest hits' for R.E.M., but i may >be mistaken. >cheryl "Eponymous" also means "giving one's name to a nation, tribe, or place". In Hobbs's usage it means that The Innocence Mission's first album is named _The Innocence Mission_ after the name of the group. R.E.M., however, also has an album named _Eponymous_.
