Well, I'm still pretty blissed out after seeing Sarah M. here in Portland
last night. The opening band, Balloon, weren't quite to my taste but not
terrible either. I really liked the effect of lighting the candles on the
darkened stage just prior to the band walking out, set the mood perfectly.
Sarah filed out last, and they launched into "Drawn to the Rhythm". Over the
course of the evening they hit just about all of _Solace_, as well as "Out
of the Shadows" ("the first song I ever wrote"), "Vox" (encore, I think),
and the "nasty samples" version of "Steaming", great fun. :) Oh yeah, we
also heard the new song "Elsewhere", which has been mentioned here before.

Unfortunately, we didn't get to meet her after the show, but considering
the fact that we were front row center and I was only 8 - 10 feet away from
her during most of the performance, I kinda felt we'd already met! (I hope
we can do as well for the Tori show. ;)

Also got to meet up with fellow lovehound and brand-new Portland transplant
Michael Bowman, and we're both trying to make sure we get to Tori's second
Oregon show in Eugene.

A good time was definitely had by all.
