this footah has greatly enjoyed the reports from our Australian 'hounds of Tori Amos' tour... Graham's story takes the cake -- ya know, when we talked to her at the Iron Horse here in MA USA, i really thought that here was a person with whom i would like to sit and hold a conversation -- something true of KaTe, of course, but not all that many other artists in the limelight... Mik asks: >One thing is curious, does she always sit sort of half sideways on the >piano stool? Looks a tad provocative. no, sometimes she sits fully sideways on the piano stool and *grinds*... it isn't so much provocative as devastating in person, and i am convinced it is deliberately confrontational (and quite effective when constrasted by the lyrics to "Crucify", say, or "SatY"). i can't help but think of KaTe in her Mrs. Peel body suit gunning her dancers down in "JatCG" or, have mercy, the She-Ra outfit from the Babooshka video... mayhaps Tori will find other ways of driving her point home as she develops as a performer; but given the utter attention she commanded at the show i saw, i'd say she's got it down pretty durn well... footah! -greg -- gb10@gte.com -- >>KaTemas 1992<<Magic Again>>Cambridge MA USA<<
