To whomever asked (sorry, I lost your post :( ):
Them Heavy People is sort of a tribute to David Gilmour and the others who
got Kate's career off the ground, a kind of Gee, thanks.
"They opened doorways I thought had been shut for good
They read me Gurdjieff and Jesu
They build up my body, break me emotionally
It's nearly killing me, but what a lovely feeling!...
Rolling the ball to me..."
The Gurdjieff reference is I think a reference to her brother John, who was
into that sort of thing, the next line is for Lindsay Kemp, her dance and
mime instructor, and the "Rolling the ball" part is about Dave Gilmour getting
her a contract with EMI.
At least, that's how I see it. :)
