This love-hound visits Boston

Since there seem to be a number of Boston residents (or former residents,
or at least knowledgeable visitors..) who post regularly I will ask:

What should a philo-canine do when visiting Boston?

Any of you locals have time to meet a visitor? Any must-see record or
book stores? Any must-see local bands or clubs? My visit will be over
the next three weekends - but I will not be around on the weekdays (or
weeknights).
