Hi Hounds!

Finally decided to stop lurking in the shadows and join the fray.  Also, I
wanted to let anyone who might be interested know that June Tabor has begun a 
six-week tour of North America.  She's a truly phenomenal British vocalist
(recently collaborating with the Oyster Band), very personable and with a wry 
sense of humor: "People often ask me why I sing so many songs about love gone 
wrong, don't I know any songs about love gone right?  I answer, of course I do!
And here it is..." (:-)

On a *completely* different subject: while reading _A Book of Dreams_ a while
back, I noticed a (rather tenuous) personal connection to the story; where 
Peter is talking with his schoolmate about his yo-yo ("... that glowed in the
dark...") he mentions the name of the school: Edward Wetmore.  About 20 years
later, both my younger sisters were attending this elementary school in Tucson.
Just an interesting little sidelight on one of my favorite KaTesongs.

And finally, I'd like to jump up and down and wave my arms at friends and 
fellow Love-Hounds Kim (dreaming@max.u.washington.edu) and Dave
(gravende@epas.utoronto.ca).  Looking forward to December, guys!
