You're mistaken. There's a definite difference between gaffer's tape and duct tape. Gaffer's tape is often used to tape cables to floors because it holds very well yet the adhesive on it comes up easily. Duct tape also holds well, but the adhesive on it has a tendency to stay on the floor. Gaffer's tape is also lighter. w.
