Let me quote from the program guide... Channel 11 CXFM On Cathay Pacific 747 flights originating in Hong Kong, and TriStar services system-wide Tommy Vance has three hours of quality music on offer, including a southern boogie masterclass delivered by profiled Texan trio ZZ Top. The featured CD, The Sensual World, comes from the other side of the Atlantic, courtesy of British singer Kate Bush. Tommy hosts his own daily show on the London radio station GLR. He also presents the weekly specialist heavy rock show for BBC national radio. Tommy is widely regarded as the U.K.'s top readio presenter of heavy metal, a type of music he genuinely loves. -=- End of quote. The flight was only fifteen hours long, so I didn't get to hear the program many times (sarcasm mode off), but I'm pretty sure that Tommy didn't have a whole lot to say, other than KaTe's a great songwriter and easy on the eyes, too. He played: The Sensual World, Between a Man and a Woman, Don't Give Up (with Gabriel, of course), Deeper Understanding, This Woman's Work, The Fog, Rocket's Tail, Never be Mine, and Love and Anger. I wrote a letter to the Director of Audio Programming for CX and told him I appreciated the focus on KaTe. -=- Other News. I saw the Japanese version of This Woman's Work at Do Re Mi Music (in "The Mall" at Pacific Place, Queensway, Central, Hong Kong) for HK$1,860. The conversion to US$ is HKD 7.80 = USD 1.00 -- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Richard Bollar - via FidoNet node 1:133/411 UUCP: gatech!warlord!gisatl!110!bollar INTERNET: bollar@f110.n133.z1.FIDONET.ORG US MAIL: 6945B Roswell Rd.
