i was listening to that over and over again two nights ago and still
can't decipher it, though to my ear, it sounds like she's saying "it's
born in jersey" or "let's call it jersey". you go figure.

well, i'd like to think that know KaTe's voice pretty well. still, my
head snapped around the first time i heard happy's higher register much
in the same way that my head snapped around the first time i heard roy
harper's "once" when KaTe sings the b-vox (without knowing that she did).
i think the initial listen, when your not ready for it, will catch you
you off guard, but a careful listen or repeated listens will reveal the
differences.

i wonder if any listeners were hooked...

finally remembered my camera while driving through pennsylvania last
weekend and snapped a shot of the KT's truck stop sign. methinks i'll
send homeground a copy.
