Has anyone made a Kate reading list? Well, le'see. Didn't I hear that "The Infant Kiss" was inspired by the film _The Innocents_ which was based on Henry James' _The Turn of the Screw_? Or am I completely confused? "Hammer Horror," while having nothing to do with the plot of Hugo's novel, certainly borrows a little imagery (and a wretchedly funny pun) from _The Hunchback of Notre Dame_. Anybody got others to add? >I find it interesting that of 4 fans asked none of them had read Wuthering >Heights but all of them loved the song. Count me as a KaTe fan who's read the book. Of course, I didn't read it until after it'd been one of my favorite songs for a year or so. On the other hand, I read it as a direct result of loving the song so much (and at the insistence of an SO who knew how I felt about the song and knew I'd love the book). I do have another friend who's not a KaTe fan, but loves the song because _Wuthering Heights_ is one of her favorite books. Jeff |Jeffrey C.
