Everyone makes money when they make records.  But
the ones who put intelligence into it rather than
churning out a new product with such timeless themes
as:
a) love
b) sex
c) clouds, birds, trees, poetic cliches

deserve the attention and the awards.
(read intelligence as: imagery, melody, creativity,
care)
Sinead O'Connor may be superficial enough to love
the money she makes from her music, but the record
company execs are both superficial in that way and
by approving superficial music.
