THERE OFF!  Flying through the air with the speed that our proud postal
service is famous for are the photos. I mailed them on 1-30-91 in the morning.
  

        The final cost was 15 dollars plus postage ($2.40 for America, $5.50
Overseas).  People paid anywhere from 12 - 20 dollars so if there is more than
a 2 or 3 dollars difference please send me the difference.  I didn't keep
track of who sent what so I won't be asking personally or anything. 
        Those who have followed the saga will be interested in the final
chapter.  I had sent back just the photos at the convention itself and asked
them to redo just them.  They ended up doing EVERY photo, including the ones I
already had at home.  This has left me with about 18 sets of 10 non-kate
photos including the group shots, the famous car-stuffing shots, and the photo
of Kate's farm (see descriptions below).  I don't have any use for these so
here is my latest offer - For the astoundingly low price of FREE I will send
you 5 or 6 NON-KATE photos including the ones listed above.  Well, its not
exactly free as you have to send me a STAMP (remember there 29 cents after
monday, a small price increase for the greatest postal service in the world)
so that I can mail them to you (If the spirit moves you, you can include a 4
cent stamp to help pay for my envelopes, but don't feel obligated).  Get em
while they're hot.  When I run out, I will not be able to send your stamp back
to you! (no prizes for figuring out why).  This set will hereafter be referred
to as the "Leftovers" set.  I don't want to here any complaining from the
people who bought the "FULL" set. :-)  (Why does this situation somehow remind
me of the Boxed Set.)   
        Now all I have to worry about is paying my rent.

I have exactly one set left and Evan Walsh has said that he has already sent
the money so presumably it is his.  I also have one "greatest hits" set left
also but may be holding on to it for myself.  If you have sent money already
don't see your name on my list please send me a message as soon as possible. 
I have had problems with messages in the past, so it is possible I may not
have got one if you already sent me one.  
        I have been debating whether or not I will make any more sets if
requested and decided that I will, but instead will be using the one-hour
photo service.  This is because I know the person there and he will work with
me to get the photos to come out right without the hassle.  Unfortunately this
is about 35% more expensive so rather that $15 plus postage the cost will be
$19 plus postage.  Also I would need to actually have the money in hand
because I am broke.  Since its a one-hour place tho I will be able to send
them off quicker.  If anybody wants to get on a new list please post a
message.
        Many people have written asking what they could do to for me.  About
the only things I really want are photocopies of back issues of the KBC. I
have about 10 of them and really would like the rest.  I would be willing to
trade for a set of photos and pay the difference. I have had one kind offer to
get them, but that won't be for another 4 months or so.  I would also be most
interested if someone has a disk full of the "best" of the love-hounds or
something of that nature.  I don't appear to have access to the archives and I
would very much like to get some of the gifs and especially would like to get
any transcipts of interviews with Kate and the like.

1990 Kate Bush Convention Photos

Version 1 - 01-30-91 

        What follows is my attempt to describe the photos from the convention.
 Since some people have and some people haven't read my previous descriptions
of my experience and some people were and some people were not there when
these photos were taken, I will assume that you don't know anything and try to
describe each picture as well as my *limited* memory will allow.  If anybody
has more info please send me a message and I will try to repost this file with
the updated info (does anybody have a transcript?).  Each new paragraph
describes the next photograph.  Special thanks to Ray Russel for helping me
sort em out!  
        
        Outside, waiting for the doors to open.
        The stage.  Many of these early photos came out slightly too dark.

a rude comment about somebody, but it might be someone you know so I won't!

of "Infant Kiss" (but don't quote me!).

        Jorn Barger coming off the stage after winning a signed video.  He and
I had made an agreement that if one of us won we would take a photo of the
other one on stage.  Jorn won, using a ticket that I had gone and bought for
him!!  I was so upset that I forgot to take his picture until after he was
coming off stage!

smiling in response to the audience applauding.  At one point fairly early she
was talking about how she didn't like her first two albums as much as the
later ones.  I shouted out, "Well we love them anyways!" which got everybody
cheering.  As far as I remember, that was the only time that everybody
applauded in response to something shouted out, and I THINK I got a photo
right after.  This might be it.

        Del Palmer came back after Kate left and signed autographs for a few
people.  I asked him "can I get a photo of you smiling since I don't have any
photos of you smiling".  This busted him up, and he posed for this shot. 
Probably my favorite picture. 
        Del signing autographs.  I asked him if the tour would be playing the
U.S. and he said they would be playing five shows.  I asked him if they would
be coming to San Diego, and he said they would only be playing the five shows.
 I gave him my "I love San Diego" T-Shirt, which has a listing of reasons to
come to San Diego, and asked him to give it to Kate.  I heard later that she
got it and liked it, but couldn't figure out what all the reasons meant!!!!! 
        A pictures of Ray Russel (fellow San Diego Kate fan).  I only included
this in a few sets. 
        Love-Hounds united and strong!  Forgive me for not remembering
everyones name but I have an illness that give me a bad memory.  If you
recognise someone, or yourself!, please post a message and I will post an
updated picture list.  I am the one in the center with the red new balance
shirt.  Two to the left of me in the white and blue is Graham from Australia. 
Straight up from Graham with the bushy brown hair is Ray Russel. To the right
and down a little in the orange shirt is Mark Semich. Two to the right of me
in the navy shirt is Larry Hernandez.  Up and to the left from me in the all
white shirt is Chris with Vickie next to him.  To the right of Vickie is Jorn
Barger. Right below Jorn slightly to the right with no glasses is Andrew
Marvick.

        The day after the convention a few of us were lucky enough to go to
the Home of the couple that runs the Homeground fanzine.  These are a couple
of shots on the way.

        Together at Peter + Krys's house.  I am the one taking the photo. To
the top to the left sitting on the couch with his hand under his leg is Jorn
Barger.  Across to the right in the black bart shirt is Larry Hernandez.  To
the right sitting in the doorway is Krys with a friend of hers to the right. 
Sitting in the middle with white shirt on is Vickie.  To the right of her is
Dave Cross and down to the right is Peter.  On the bottom looking to the right
is Chris.     
        KATE IN BLUE OUTFIT. AHEM.  
        A couple of more shots of Kate walls. 
        Love-sardines.  (THIS SHOULD ACTUALLY BE AFTER THE PICTURES OF KATE,
BUT I AM TO TIRED TO RE-ARRANGE ALL THE SETS!). This should be in the next
HOMEGROUND.  The last issue asked "How many Love-Hounds can you fit in a car"
and said that they would be printing the answer in the next issue.  We got
stuck at the train station cause the train took off earlier than we were told
and one of the two-cars driving us there had left!  So we all tried to leave
using just the one car!  I offered to go in the trunk, but they wouldn't let
me! (I'm experimental!!).  Anyways, three of us, me + Vickie + Chris, ended up
spending the night.  
        The next morning at the train station.

Later that day, I went to a Beatles exhibition in London, and then the next
day headed out to walk around Welling for a while.

        Shot of a park near where Kate lives.  I walked around for a couple of
hours to get the feel of British city.  I am normally not able to walk for
very long without feeling pain and then a bad limp in my left hip, yet on this
day I didn't feel any pain there at all!!  Excitement, Kate vibes, or ?????

        The public area behind Kate's family farm. (This is the photo with all
the green grass for those with only a few pictures) I didn't exactly know
where I was at first, then I met a nice lady who casually mentioned that Kate
Bush lived over there!  Kate's house is the white one in the middle. 
        Our hero (me again). This is a self-portrait, holding the camera out
in front of me. 

That's all the photos. I only stayed near the farm for a minute or two.  I
felt like I was imposing, even though I was on a public street, and was kinda
hoping nobody would see me.  The funny thing is as I was walking back towards
a pub on the end of the street, Kate and Del drove by!!! I only saw them for a
second, and wasn't sure it was them at first, but now I am.  They probably
didn't see me.  Anyways afterwards I went to the pub where I talked to a
female pub-keeper and she told me I was the most normal "Kate Bush gazer" that
she had ever seen!  That was a scary thought!!!  The next day I went to
Liverpool to see the Beatles sites, then to Wales to see the place where the
Prisoner was filmed, and then I came home.  A thousand bucks poorer, but
richer in many other ways, as they say. 

        I hope you all enjoy these.  I am no John Bush (either in my access to
Kate or my talent!) but I think these are not bad.  Again, I am sorry for all
the delays!!!!
