Creation of the Press Release archives

If you have typed in a press release and would like it added to the
archives, PLEASE mail it to datta@vacs.uwp.wisc.edu and I will add it.

These are the files currently available in the press release archives
available on vacs.uwp.wisc.edu (131.210.1.1) by anonymous FTP in the
/pub/em/press directory. If you have a press release you would like
added or you would like any of these via E-Mail, please mail
datta@vacs.uwp.wisc.edu.

The press releases are being made available here with the sole intent
of disseminating information. To some people, it may seem that these
are advertisments for the record labels and artists. However, I (and
many others who have requested that I do this) feel that there is much
information that is summarized right out when the "major" magazine &
newspaper "reviewers" re-print these releases in the form of what they
mis-title "reviews". As such, (at least for the ones I personally own)
these releases are being made available as written by the record
label.

FTP Users:
	All of the files in /pub/discog are stored in compressed form
	with the .Z extension and are processed with the Unix
	'compress' command.  If you cannot process these files, look in
	the /pub/discog/uncompressed subdirectory.
