The soundtrack for _Nosferatu_ (and, I gather a good many other Werner Herzog films) were done by the German musical group Popol Vuh. Popol Vuh was founded around 1970 by pianist Florian Fricke and has been making what would nowadays be called "new-age" electronic music for the past two decades. Alas, their albums are particularly hard to find in America. I don't have _Nosferatu_, but I do have the _Hosianna Mantra_ album as well as a sampler that contains part of the soundtrack they did for another Herzog film, _Fitzcaraldo_, and the vocals done on those albums do sound a whole lot like the male vocal parts on "Hello Earth". I guess Kate Bush is a fan of Popol Vuh's music; it's worth noting that Florian Fricke also appears in the attribution list on _Hounds of Love_... -- Richard Todd rmtodd@uokmax.ecn.uoknor.edu rmtodd@chinet.chi.il.us rmtodd@servalan.uucp
