I believe Capitol-EMI handles Kate in Canada.

If you haven't got the CD box set yet, you _might_ want to hold
off a bit. Canadian prices for it are around $150 CDN, with the
lowest being $120 CDN (which is what I paid at a local Marquee
Records--Division of A&A Records). The Canadian "release" is
just the UK release imported by the record company.

On a slightly different note, the cast of the Toronto staging
of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom of the Opera is coming out with
a cast recording around November 25. It stars Colm Wilkinson
as the Phantom and Rebecca Caine as Christine. To my ears,
Rebecca is clearly superior to Sarah Brightman in the role (as
she appears on the London cast recording) and Colm is every
bit as good as Michael Crawford (some say better). I've seen
both the Toronto and (current, some 4 years after opening)
London productions, and Toronto wins hands down. You might want
to try for some of the daily rush tickets if you are going through
Toronto, to see that musical. And you might want to check out
this new Phantom recording. I know I will. Supposedly, it is
a single CD offering, at about $27 CDN.

P.S. To all the convention reporters, much thanks for making me
feel like I was there. In a heated struggle between doing well
academically this term and seeing Kate, Kate lost out this time.
BUT, I'll definitely try to see her play live come next year.
Now that's something worth failing a course or two for!
