I would prefer to wait until the demo recordings become more widely available. The original obsKuriTies tape was interesting for a glimpse into the early Kate music, but quite frankly the audio quality is too poor for me to truly enjoy the music. If the duplicating service idea gets vetoed, I would volunteer to do VHS HiFi or other tape duplicating again. However, I would really like to be sure that my work is going into a product that other people will be guaranteed to enjoy. I would rather go through the work to produce a relatively high-quality copy of the bootlegs than produce yet another generation of a microphone copy of a tape of the demos. In summary, I think that we should wait to see if the collection comes out in a higher fidelity edition, then try to arrange for a commercial duplicating service to handle the copies. --M
