Common musical tastes

It is apparent from a lot of postings here that a lot of us are
fans of a lot of the same artists, not just Kate. In an effort
to identify other music which might be appealing to me (and you),
which we haven't yet heard, I propose the following project:

Phase I:
EMAIL me a list of artists other than Kate Bush whom you think
are enough like Kate (whatever that means) that Kate fans would
likely also be fans of these artists. So I don't have to wade
through too many duplicates, let me start off the list with:

Kate Bush
Peter Gabriel |
Sinead O'Connor |Don't bother sending these
Sarah McLachlan |names with your list.
Tears For Fears |Actually, the more obscure,
Shona Laing |the better.

Phase II:
I will post a list next Thursday, May 18, of all artists I have
received. EMAIL me a second time, telling me for each artist on
the list: [Note: Don't include this info in your EMAIL from
Part I, above. I'll just ignore it.]
1) How familiar are you with the artist?
2) How much do you like their music?

Phase III:
I will compile a statistical summary of what other artists Kate
fans tend to like. This will give you (hopefully) a list of lots
of new artists you might want to get to know better, with some
degree of certainty that you will like them. Therefore, names of
obscure artists are especially encouraged in Part I.
