A friend of mine who is a native Japanese speaker has never heard of the word "gaffa". She adds that it is a highly unlikely sounding word as both "g" and "f" are very rare consonants in Japanese. By the way, I like Steve Schonberger's idea that Kate is deliberately using "Gaffa" to sound like a place. That's what I thought it was the first time I heard the song. A variant of "Jaffa" perhaps? I was interested in the posting about the "Golden Dawn." Any more information forthcoming? (And Doug, could you conceivably send me another copy of that posting, I accidentally deleted mine.) sayonarar x Julian
