[From the Love-Hounds Lost and Found... -- |>oug] SNUB is a half-hour video show on USA Network's Night Flight that focuses on the British indie scene. Unlike ``120 Minutes'' on MTV, this means they DON'T play Cure, Siouxsie, Echo, etc. Instead, there were videos from Wire (Ahead), the Soup Dragons, and Pop Will Eat Itself. Then there was a look at Rhythm King, a hip-hip/rap label that's been doing well -- they've got Schooly-D (from Baltimore), a few indigenous rap acts, and a group called Renegade Soundwave that a great ominous rap. And if that wasn't cool enough, the theme is done by the Barmy Army, a/k/a Adrian Sherwood and friends. This show packs a lot into 26 minutes. It seems to be produced by the people at the Catalog, a magazine for the British indies. (You might remeber I sent out a list of new releases gleaned from that magazine in October 1986.) The show was on 1am Saturday.
