Subject: That Moreau Movie
> From: garfield!stephen5@SEISMO.CSS.GOV (Stephen Christian) > Does anyone out there know the name of the movie she was reffering > to with Jeanne Moreau? The film was "La Mariee etait en noir (The Bride Wore Black)" 1967, directed by the great Francois Truffaut and starring Jeanne Moreau, Claude Rich and Jean-Claude Brialy. The film was Truffaut's homage to Hitchcock's thrillers. Restrained by her relatives from committing suicide after her bridegroom has been shot dead on the church steps at their wedding, Julie Kohler (Moreau) resolves to seek out and kill the five men accidently responsible. The Secret Policeman's Third Ball film opens in London on friday (25th) and features Kate Bush, Jackson Browne, Lou Reed and Peter Gabriel. There are two albums being released as well - one of the comedy items and one of the musical interludes. The musical album features 10 songs and according to Q magazine: "Highlights of the music are a punchy performance of Running Up That Hill, on which Kate Bush is backed enthusiastically by Dave Gilmour and Nick Mason ...". There is no mention of whether Let it be is also featured. The CD version contains an extra two tracks. Haven't seen the record in the shops yet but it should be available very soon.
