Subject: re Ferry Aid single, etc.
Thanks, Jon, for the support, but IED has definitely repented. It's true that he was only panning the music, not the cause, but it's also true that some readers might have been a little closer to the disaster than he, and might therefore not really give a fuck about such niceties of subject-matter. In respect to the seriousness of the occasion, IED withdraws his purple-and-black prose re the Ferry Aid single. And yes, he has mellowed out, but isn't that really all the better? We're just one happy family here now!! Good ol' Wicinski, what a character! And Hofboy, you knucklehead -- how ya doin', chum? About the HBO/Cannon/Thorn-EMI mixup, it's a big mess now, but the Whole Story video was scheduled for April/May/June release right from the beginning, it turns out. The announcement in Optic-Music of availability on MGM Home Video two months ago was totally without merit. However, take a look in the latest issue of Tower's Pulse!, and check out the full-page ad for the LP inside -- it says the video is now available -- on SONY Home Video! (Also Scott Howe, KT fan of S.F., CA, has his hand-copied blow-up display of the Whole Story LP photographed in the Desert Island Discs section of the new issue.) -- Andrew Marvick P.S.: Party time soon!!
