Everything But The Girl was at the Ritz in NYC last Thursday the 11th.

They put on a pretty good show--much better than the one they did
last year at the same spot. Along with old standbys such as
"When All's Well", "Frost and Fire" etc. they also sang songs from
their new album, (called "Baby, The Stars Shine Bright"), such as "Come On Home"
and (the MTV smash single HA HA) "Don't Leave Me Behind".
This is actually a really good album, in many ways superior to their
second one (Love Not Money), and just as good as the first one (Eden
abroad, EBTG here). Tracy Thorn looked a bit nervous in the beginning but
Ben warmed her up and her incredible voice came out in full force.
It was good example of why Paul Weller calls them two of the best
singer/songwriters around today.
